The Women’s Club Health and Fitness Center of Missoula, MT has gone Salt!

In Press Release by Kate Cunha

TMI is proud to welcome The Women’s Club Health and Fitness Center of Missoula, MT into our Salt Pure® family! One of the country’s 1st women’s health clubs, The Women’s Club has been serving the athletic needs of the women of Missoula for 30 years. Designed to be a safe, supportive, and comfortable place for women to meet, work out, and relax, The Women’s Club strives to help women find their individual spirit and strength. With over 26,000 square feet of space, they offer cardio and strength training, an indoor walking track, Pilates and yoga studios, a myriad of group classes, personal training, a pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room, massage, and even a full service salon! Originally a small health club, The Women’s Club has expanded over the years into a vibrant part of the community that it serves. Per their website, The Women’s Club annually hosts fun runs to benefit their local cancer screening program, is a participating sponsor of Bike/Walk/Bus week in support of sustainable commuting, donates $6000+ in goods and services to their local community, and awards 24 scholarships to local women so that no one will be hindered by financial or person obstacles on their road to good health. Like many other Salt Pure® clients, The Women’s Club aims to be as environmentally friendly as they can be and incorporates as many energy and resource saving practices as they can. Cloth towels, recycled products, timed and/or motion sensitive lights for energy conservation, watering schedules and a water-wise plant garden for water conservation,  and, of course, a Salt Pure® pool are just a few examples of their commitment to being good stewards of the environment. They are also members of the MT Sustainable Business Council. Even some of their cardio equipment is environmentally friendly, using only human movement for power! The lap pool has been a Salt Pure® pool for a little over two weeks now and feedback has been fantastic. Members had asked for the salt conversion and had eagerly awaited the recent “reopening”. One member stated that the pool is fantastic and that she can’t wait to get back in! That’s what we like to hear. TMI is thrilled that the changes have been so well received and wish the women at TWC happy and healthy swimming!
