It’s ok if you don’t, things happen. Maybe you are a homeowner, and you are trying to get your pool back up and running after winter. Maybe you’re running a pool at a sports club, and your main pool tech no longer works for you due to family emergencies. We have to remember that it’s ok to ask for help. A pool needs to be properly taken care of or someone could fall ill or worse if the correct steps are not taken.
We always recommend that if you find yourself at a complete loss on what to do to manage your pool, that you call a professional to train you on your equipment. If you are running a commercial pool, you should have at least one CPO®, certified pool operator, on staff. You also need to know how to use the equipment that is connected to your pool. Someone helping you in person is always going to be the best situation. They are going to be able to help with all the small little details and help you to learn how to run your pool. There is the option of turning to Google. Google can be a great resource if you have a specific question that you need a specific answer to, but it’s not going to be enough to get you from start to finish. There are just too many configurations of a pool for Google to know them all. You can also try to speak with a tech over the phone, but you will find yourself in a similar situation because of all the different types of equipment out there, both residential and commercial, an in-person visit is going to be your best path to resolution if you need to start from scratch.
We here at TMI are always available to help you with any questions or issues that may arise involving your pool and we go above and beyond in providing support for not only our equipment but in trying to answer any questions you may have involving any component of your pool, including using photos, video, or even video calls to see your problems real time. One great solution in this day and age that we offer is a “virtual training”. What we do is on our end we build a presentation that involves all of the equipment for your facility, once we have obtained that information from your site, then we will schedule out a 1-2 hour zoom/teams meeting and we will walk thru the presentation together to teach you about your equipment so that you have all the information and resources to properly run that body of water. We also don’t expect that everyone can retain all the information that we give, that’s why we offer lifetime tech support for all of our equipment. We even offer the option of coming out to you for training/retraining and CPO® classes. So, if you find yourself in one of these situations, don’t be afraid to reach out and we will do our best to get you going.
